This stunning banjo was made by Chuck and the OG crew at Ome Banjos in Boulder, Colorado in 1980. This banjo plays like a stick of butter and rings like the liberty bell. It's recently been set up by banjo guru, Tom Nechville.
I'm a professional touring banjo player and this has been my main axe for a decade. She's a real beauty and I get compliments everywhere I go. Bright gold with custom engraving and abalone inlays, it's a real show-stopper! It's toured most of the US and Africa with me. I'm sad to see her go, but recently got a custom banjo and she doesn't get the playtime she deserves.
It's been well-loved and shows it. There are some scratches on the resonator and wear on the neck. At 45 years old, it's starting to show its age. She's still got plenty more life left in her though.
Now that Gold Tone owns the Ome brand, this is your chance to grab one of the original Ome legacy banjos.
